Shortly after getting dropped off by a helicopter in the middle of the Tombstone range, we began hiking towards our first camp site. A rolling storm made its way toward us.
The storm was passing & the great amazing Marc Adamus ran helter skelter realizing the potential for great light. This being my first backpacking experience and pretty intense already carrying 70 lbs, I was exhausted. We threw our backpack, grabbed our camera gear, chucked it in a garbage bag and headed off jumping on steep rocks, crossing streams with slippery rocks & finally landed on the tundra as we watched the light unfold and display some beautiful atmospheric haze, as ominous clouds hung over the jagged peaks of the Tombstone mountains. This light show was followed by a rainbow and boy it was amazing! Of course I was pretty darn exhausted at the end of it all.
