It was a blast to watch these two Great Blue Heron's building their nest. The male worked very hard breaking off sticks at the tree line and proudly flying back up to the nest with them. The female was always appreciative and then they worked together to situate the sticks just right. The mating process had not yet begun, but it won't be long. When he had finished collecting sticks for the day, she actually gave him a big hug - it was adorable. I would love to go back when the little ones are hatched :))
