Have you set a date for your visit yet, Bill? I wondered when you said "next month" whether you meant January or February. I'd still really like to get together with you if that's possible, perhaps with Stephen and Denis and your brother. Next month (February) might be a problem for me - I'm away from 6-20th.. When you do have a firm date, though, please let me know to see what we can arrange.

I was thinking January Tim, but my brother says Feb works better for him. No firm dates yet, but I would like to do it ASAP, so am thinking maybe first weekend in Feb. I would very much like get together with you guys, so I will let you know as soon as dates are confirmed.

You always make such insightful comments, Steven. Thank you. I'd also happily trade the snow and ice for a tropical climate again. Cold climates can be pretty, but they really hamper the time you spend outside taking photos!

Thanks! I kind of am sad that 500px can be a popularity game of commenting/voting/faving as a way to get eyes on your own photos and hope for reciprocity. There's a lot of great and interesting work here and it'd be nice if there was more conversation rather than "great work v/f" since there's an endless amount to learn about photography. Also I feel less guilty pandering for votes if I say something more substantial. :)

Well said, Steven. I agree with all your points. The one thing I do appreciate is the quality of work you can see on this site. Its better, more varied, and more active than any other club I've belonged to. So I'm happily accepting the few downsides you mentioned for the opportunity to see and comment on peoples work that I enjoy:)
