My third offering in my series on Trinity Church, this one of the main altar. Yes this 1846 version is the third iteration (the first destroyed by massive fire, the second damaged by snow) but its history and symbolism to the city is never lost on me no matter how many times I walk by it. Its cemetery hosts some of the most prolific early American figures including Alexander Hamilton and Robert Fulton and its rich architectural details (both inside and out) are a wonder to observe. I'm lucky enough to live very close to this wonderful historical New York landmark but for those of you who have never had the opportunity to see it (or for all those who have) I hope you enjoy my humble attempt to capture the beauty of this small portion of the church. Thanks for stopping by!
