Love to get one of these with my new 500mm, especially with snow :-)))) Many thanks for your comments really really appreciated John! Yep that upload of the female Chaffinch was my first outing and really my first proper attempt at small birds!!! Ran a filter on b/g as it really was a super dull day - but it wasn't raining!! Yeah I have the 5D Mark III - I LOVE that camera, great at high ISO levels and the 61 focal points are a tad improvement on the 5D Mark II's 9 lol!!!! I no longer want to smash my camera!! Glad you are enjoying your 500mm - I am still in shock how good it is!! Out of interest do you shoot with 'one shot' with small birds? As tried the other two but you can miss so many shots because the eye isn't pin sharp because one of the focal points isn't near enough!! I'm going for the Chaffinch hover at the moment - full wing spread - got one but clipped the wings and needed a speed faster than 1/1000th cause those wings are super fast :-))) Sorry for the essay but your good and I need to learn lol!!!!!!!!

I was lucky with the snow that day... although it came down quite quickly and the drive back home was more exciting than planned. I've sent you an email via the button on your website with bits and pieces about 500mm / 5D3 etc.
