The church of the Holy Sepulchre located inside the walled city of jerusalem.
this is one of forth churches was built by the impress st Helena ,the mother of constantine , between the years 325 - 336 AD .Constantine was the first byzantine imperor which introduced the christianity to the roman impire.
today the main instruction from the crusades period (1099-1291)
and from the modern time.
in 1808 a fire inside the church caused a damage to the rotunda
(rounded building sorruonding by columns ) and to the Edicule (small chapel which include the Holy tom),
in this picture you can see part of the renovated Dome of the Rotunda ,it was renovated in 1995 and consist of 12 golden rays which represents the 12 apostles , sorrounding the center of the Dome which represents the Resurrection .
