"i set out on a great adventure
the day my father started leading me home
said theres gonna be mountians to climb
and valleys were gonna go through
but I had no way of knowing
just how hard this journey could be
cause the mountians are steeper
and the valleys are deeper than I ever would had dreamed
but I know were gonna make it
and I know were gonna get there soon
And I know sometimes it seems like, were going the wrong way
but its just the long way home"

i love this new photographic journey I'm on- its so freeing to let my imagination take me places I've only dreamed of... what wonderful places i will go! speaking of journeys, today is my husband's 30th birthday and let's just say he's not entirely thrilled with the idea of being an age that starts with a 3, but numbers are only numbers- it's what you make of that time that matters and this year is the start of some really enormous adventures to come so i am SUPER excited! oh, the places we will go! happy birthday love! ♥
on a professional note, i really can't take credit for this concept because my inspiration for this stems for a picture i saw on flickr last year done by the incredibly talented, Lissy Elle Laricchia and i've wanted to do a version ever since! yes, i know it's not very creative of me but i feel like i made it my own and not an exact replica of hers which i think is important as an artist when you like a work of someones and want to pay it homage instead of copying it... when i saw this i had a total double-take because there was this blonde girl and chocolate lab in the snow and it looked just like Zee and i! when i showed my husband his first response was, "when did you and Zee take this?" haha! so i just knew i had to do a rendition of this super amazing picture! so thank you, Lissy for sharing your art and inspiration with us!
