This is one of my very first landscape images. I shot this image of Mount Rainier from Tipsoo Lake back in 2006. I woke up at 3:30AM to make the drive across the park to Tipsoo Lake. As I was driving I noticed that a pretty good fog layer had engulfed Mount Rainier. I kept driving on driving keeping my fingers crossed that the fog layer would disapate at sunrise. I finally arrived at Tipsoo Lake around 4:30AM and made the short hike over to upper Tipsoo Lake. As the day began to get brighter I still noticed that the fog layer was still present, however I could start to see the top of Rainier, I sat there with my remote trigger waiting and hoping. As the sun rays started to bend over the horizon the fog began to lift and before my eyes there was Rainier in all her glory. The reflection was perfect as the lake was very still.
