Silver Denarius issued between 2-13 AD.
Obverse:

Gaius & Lucius sons of Marcus Agrippa and Julia the Elder. Agrippa close friend, of Augustus, his top general, and an important Roman statesman, Julia was Augustus' only daughter. They were adopted by Augustus (their grandfather) and while they were alive, were heirs to Augustus. They moved up the ranks of Roman leadership with promising careers in law and the military. Lucius died of an illness at age 19. Gaius died from battle wounds from a battle campaign in Armenia at the age of 24. Issued posthumously in the memory of Augustus' adopted sons.

This coin was a gift from my dad for my birthday.
