After their stay of 6 months at the southern part of Turkey (around Mersin), “Sarıkeçili” nomads start traveling toward plateaus at the mountains (around Karaman) . Most of the families make this travel by their trucks or tractors. A few of them like Gök family is still traveling by their camels. It takes about 40 days to reach the place where they spend the summer. Everyday they walk about 6-8 km with their dogs, camels and 500 goats. This is a scene of their preparations before setting forward at the 18th day of their trip.
