I have an unnatural and perhaps unhealthy affection for rainbows, and was fortunate to see one at Bandon along the southern Oregon coast earlier this year.
The sunrise color was intense but facing south whereas the ocean is facing west. Fortunately the sun was in a perfect spot for a rainbow over the beach and the intense sunrise color painted the seastacks red for a brief period.
