I found this stunning female crab spider (Misumena Vatia) hunting on a buddleia bush. This species of crab spider is able to change its colour to green, yellow or white in order to blend into its background. For some unknown reason this amazing individual decided to hunt on the purple flowers of a buddleia bush, sticking out like a sore thumb. However, the spider was successful in most of its hunts as it hid between the flowers waiting for an unsuspecting bee. It went on to catch several bees and a moth 4x its own size, AMAZING !!
