…now on to the story.
This beach is sort of, like, totally and completely on private property just south of Half Moon Bay. My friend and I went down to the beach in the darkness of the pre-sunrise morning as the tide was rising.
The thing is, like, totally and completely… the sandy beaches of California are supposed to be accessible. That's the law, but a rich guy decided to buy up the land adjacent to the beach a few years back and privatized the road leading to the shoreline. There is no other way to get to this beach due to the 150 foot cliffs that surround it.
So, we took our chances and had a great time, and got hit by tidal surges and almost lost our camera gear to the wicked ocean a couple of times. The wizard rock however took mercy on us and granted us good storm clouds and fantastic light as the sun rose over the east.
Hopefully it will wave it's wand in the trials currently going on and let those who appreciate nature and the coastline back into it's presence.
