Pecaron hill in the village of Pasir Putih, Bungatan District is one of the mainstay religious attractions in Situbondo. The hilltop is believed to be one petilasan (where munajat) Sheikh Maulana Ishaq, father of Sunan Giri. One of the Nine Guardians propagator of Islam in Java (Wali Songo). In fact some people believe the place is not petilasan, but rather the location of the sheikh was buried.
