The weather turned extremely cold overnight, with temperatures dropping from around 0C to -30C with the windchill. The cold air produced a lot of clarity in the light, however. There is a very "expressive" tree at a local cemetary, and I caught it at a time when I could situate the sun in its branches. I used a circular polarizer and a fast shutter speed to somewhat underexpose the image and create a "moonlit" type effect. My editing here is literally only one click to emphasize contrast and add some vignetting. The silhouetted tombstones add to the mood of the image.
