In my continuing quest for an epic whale breach, I have been going on whale watch after whale watch on Maui... today afforded a great opportunity, with a pair of adult whales breaching several times in quick succession, possibly in an attempt to teach the calf traveling with them and attempting some of its first breaches.
This was my favorite shot of the day, catching a mother as she begins to rise out of the water.
