Travel for hunting the northern lights seemed to be problem since the starting of my trip. The first night with clear and starry sky came with stormy wind, snowy road condition and poor visibility, while I were droving from Reykjavik to catch sunrise at Jokulsarlon. Those conditions made me arriving late at Jokulsarlon and I missed the beautiful sunrise that morning.
Moreover, the following night seemed to be cloudy after midnight and the aurora forecast said that northern light activity would be quiet. Anyway, that night should be my only chance for seeing the northern light because the forecast predicted the cloudy sky for many nights later and I had only 5 days in Iceland.
After dinner had been finished, I were not sure that I would have much chances. I knew only that it would be my only chance to fulfill my dream since childhood. So I told my friend that "If we do not success, it's not because we do not try".
So we were hurry out from the guesthouse to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon to see that the northern light had been waiting to welcome us. I wonder how lucky am I to see its color other than green.
At first sight, it was only white strip like cloud on the starry sky but it transverse the entire sky. Some traveler their told me in the dark that it was the northern light. After taking some tested shot, I know that my dream became true.
