On New Years eve 2002 I was with some good friends at a lodge near Yellowknife, Canada to shoot the aurora. We had a fire going in the TeePee and my friend had a good idea to ask the lodge owner to go inside and cast a shadow on the Teepee. I think this was about a 30 second exposure at 2.8 with 400 or 800 speed ecktachrome. As a disclaimer, I was standing right next to him and he took a very similar photo that won the top prize in the Nature's Best competition a few years ago. So, no, I did not steal his image.
