A wall containing a large section of turbidite formations reflects in a tide pool in the late afternoon sun at Point Loma, California.

The Cabrillo National Monument at Point Loma in San Diego California in my opinion is a National treasure and should be visited, explored and cherished by all.

There are many wonderful natural wonders on display including amazing tide pools, many species of birds, seals, crustaceans, and other sea life in their natural environment.

Turbidite geological formations have their origins in turbidity current deposits, which are deposits from a form of underwater avalanche that are responsible for distributing vast amounts of clastic sediment into the deep ocean.
