Balsamic strawberries make this shortcake delicious... add the biscuit and you're in heaven:
Balsamic Buttermilk Biscuit Shortcake
Slice up a pint of fresh strawberries, thin. Toss them with a splash of your favorite balsamic, a smidge (aka about a teaspoon) of black raspberry preserves and a dash of sugar (aka about half a teaspoon, unless your berries are tart, then do this to taste) and allow to macerate for about an hour (longer if you like - go nuts).
To assemble, grab your favorite biscuits, halve and stuff with your delicious strawberries, spoon over some of the balsamic glaze, and top with vanilla infused whipping cream.
