I respond to his request and moments later he messages me, letting me know that he will be passing through my neck of the woods the next morning, on his way to Moab, UT. He suggests breakfast, I suggest a portrait :)
Scott’s in a semi big rush, so I got a taste of what it must be like shooting a celebrity. My lights were already set up for a shoot that evening, so I felt good to go, even with limited time. Jarvie donned his ‘Cold Weather Look’ that included his $400 flashlight and I snapped a few images between two different light setups. I am so glad my lights were all ready. If that weren’t the case, I probably would never have offered to take the portrait. Guess it pays to be prepared…
But it all worked out and it was super fun meeting Scott.
I can see why he is so popular, being so friendly, down to earth and outgoing. It’s no wonder!
After the shoot, he filmed the studio and interviewed me for his YouTube channel. I’m mortified to watch this, as I am positive I look like a big, huge dork!
Thank you Scott Jarvie!
