En bicicleta de montaña o a pie, la Selva de Irati se puede recorrer fácilmente debido a su escaso desnivel. En cambio, en los alrededores hay opciones para hacer ascensiones montañeras, paseos con raquetas en la estación de la Sierra de Abodi, o esquí de fondo.
Esta inmensa masa forestal tiene un especial atractivo durante todo el año. Pasando del verde primaveral al blanco del invierno; la paleta de colores abarca toda la gama cromática, especialmente en otoño.
Abundan las hayas, grandes áreas de pastizales para el pastoreo, abetos, pero originalmente predominaron los robles. Conviven también el sauce, serbal, tilo, arce, olmo de montaña, avellano, boj, acebo, enebro, pacharán, espino, y los musgos, helechos y líquenes.

This vast forest cover has a special attraction throughout the year. Spring from green to white winter color palette runs the gamut of colors, especially in autumn.
