Ranch In The Snow (A sleepless night)

Caused by the lake effect, yesterday's snow dumped close to 15 cm, while the forecast predicted 4-6 cm. The traffic back home was a nuisance. It took me 1 hour 45 minutes for a normal 15 minute drive. There was a big (over 60) car pileup on the highway, a stretch of 10 km of highway closed. This squeezed all the traffic onto the local roads.

It has been my long time assignment to shoot the white barns in the neighborhood, but not a good timing and without good fluffy snow. By the time I arrived at the spot it was almost approaching midnight just to avoid the traffic lighting. While you did have the unwelcome alien lighting from the passing traffic trying to get into the picture, which was NOT my favorite. So I had to use both hands to cover the sides of the lens, and manually adjusted the settings through the viewfinder. Along with LCD screen, both got frosty frequently, and I had to keep on wiping them off.

Then I had to shovel mine, and my cousin's driveway until 1-2 o'clock early in the morning. At three, I hit the bed. What an experience!
