This was the last cold day of winter in the Netherlands. At least for now. For me anyway, because will fly to New Zealand in a few days. So this was my last change to shoot some snow and ice pictures this year. I followed up a tip from Daniel Bosma to go this place. You can walk very far from land at low tide, especially now, because the sea is frozen and you won't get very dirty. I got up very early to be to on the sea at sunrise. It was very cold with a strong wind and the walk up there was longer than I expected. I took my gloves off to prepare my camera and tripod and within a few second my hands where freezing. So I decided to keep my gloves on and try it that way. It worked and when I started taking pictures, I forgot all about the cold. This is one of my last shots, but one of the best. A few more will follow later.
