In early January the real cold hadn't hit yet. I shot down at the riverside from a bridge above, and noted that despite the fact that the ice was still forming on the Petawawa River, there were at least two distinct sets of tracks along the river's edge. Someone was walking on pretty thin ice! This scene caught my eye for two reasons: the moguls forming natural in the snow and the contrast between the dark, very cold water and the brilliant white of the snow.
