Thank you for your much appreciated comments to the Impressionist screamer!

This rusty submarine, is what's left of the TR-1700 ARA-Santa Fe (S 43). A bit of history, the Argentine Navy had a plan to get 6 new TR-1700 submarines; the first two were built by the Thyssen Nordseewerke. The other 4 were to be built in Argentina. Due to, er... political and economical reasons -which will be long to explain and probably not interesting to most- the construction was cut down to 2 and then abandoned. The one in the photo, was 70% completed (or 52%, depending who you ask) and though it looks like a derelict it could be completed. At least, that's what engineers say.
I have to say that it's an impressive view, I mean, not only is weird to see a submarine out of the water but also... even with the prow missing, that thing is huge! The photo is actually two horizontal photos merged. Too bad I didn't get any person or object to provide a perspective of its size... guess you can't have it all!
