The third in a series of old film shots I took with our Canon FTB SLR and developed it in our darkroom years ago.
I found this farm the same day I did the other shots of junk. This barn had to have been at least 100 years old at that time. It wasn't far from my home. It was once a proud and thriving farm but then was abandoned after years of use. It sat so forlorn and empty looking. All used up.
How the bus got there I will never know.
This shot is that farm's obituary.
Soon the land ended up being used for a large shopping complex and this barn soon passed into obscurity..No trace of it remained. In place of lush green planted fields were expanses of asphalt blacktop parking lots.
I'm hoping someone saw the beauty in the wood and took it to reuse in their home or in furniture, as is often done today...In that small way the barn, and its simple beauty, will live on.
