I was lucky enough to spend a couple months living, working and skiing up in Haines, Alaska in the spring of 2012. I was a cameraman for a documentary film production covering the ins and outs of running a helicopter skiing operation in the rugged powder filled mountains of Alaska.

It turned out to be one of the biggest snow years in Alaska's recent history. The highlight of the trip for me, was spending a day shooting and skiing with Seth Morrison and Eric Roner, and the Teton Gravity Research film crew to give a behind the scenes look of what it all takes to get that perfect shot for their latest ski film "The Dream Factory"

This was shot on the day out with TGR. In the photo our guide was checking snow conditions while I snapped off this shot which I feel gives you a good perspective of how big the mountains in the Chilkat Range outside of Haines Alaska really are.
