Haven't posted for a while. This is yet another shot from the magical 4 hours in Katmai National Park, Alaska last summer. We searched for several days throughout the park to finally find them. Catching salmon wasn't that easy for these bears. Success rate was only about 10%, which meant that they had to spend a lot of energy to sprint and jump and pounce to get the salmon. This young bear finally caught one, but was immediately chased by other bigger bears to try to steal it. He/she kept looking back in fear while running. Such was the life for the weaker/younger ones in the bear country. Please leave a comment and click like if you like the photo.
