lovely Bob, you asked for critique/comments when you commented on my image..
this is nice, but the owl would be better on the left. As it is, the owl is looking out of the photo..and therefore it looks unbalanced.

Right exposure on this is lovely, you can see all the nose hairs - my favourite bit.... on composition, usually if the bird is looking to one side you leave enough space for it to look into - these rules of course can be broken... so the space to the left would be better served to the right of the image...... again great b/g and loving that detail!!! Well done! I'm pretty much self taught now.... lol!!
