While driving in Yosemite, probably back to the valley from Mariposa, I caught a glimpse of bridalveil falls through the trees. To my surprise, there was a rainbow spanning across it unlike anything I'd seen before. I forced my grandfather to turn around and go back to the opening in the trees and we took some photos.

The technicals in this one aren't great. It's lack of critical sharpness saddens me, but the sheer beauty of the color makes it work for me.

This is certainly not a photo of painstaking preparation and execution, but merely God dropping a gift in my lap. As if being in Yosemite marveling at the giant trees and huge granite faces wasn't enough.
