Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog (Litoria fallax) peaking over a blade of grass.

A neighbouring dwarf tree frog was being stalked not far away by a spider spread out to its full length so as not to fall off the blade of grass. The frog jumped and the spider did too but the frog won the battle!

It seems the Eastern Dwarf Tree frog’s have returned to my backyard in Brisbane, Australia. Sometimes I find them on a large aloe vera plant growing beside our old house but that day I found them in a large clump of grass nearby.

This was also my first time using my new diffuser. I have to say it makes a big difference. The best $5.69 I ever spent!

Taken with Canon 400D and 100mm macro lens.

ISO: 800
Aperture: f/11
Shutter speed: 1/60 (using in-built flash and diffuser)
