Here is a less viewed perhaps less dramatic angle of Cuernos del Paine which is in the Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile.
This is a relatively small lake maybe even call it a large pond but the wind was so fierce that it was literally creating water spouts. On our ½ mile downhill hike to the shore the winds were so strong that even after squatting as low as I could get and leaning “downhill” into the wind, it actually blew me over. You had to wait these gusts out because standing upright could mean you would be blown off the mountain, well at least off the trail. And because it was still dark that added another element of excitement.
Take care, thanks for looking.
