If i ever have a reason to use te dislike button, i would tell the reason in a comment. But the weird thing is, you can see everything on 500px, but the only thing anounymous is the dislike function....

Noop, dislike button is still here... i never used it. I have no clue why anybody would use it in the first place. If i like a picture you get my vote, if i dont, i move on to the next.....

I agree. I don't mind the dislike button, but people are only using it strategically because it is anonymous.

I actually applaud people that criticize me - the more critique I get, the more I learn. But you learn nothing from people that just want to down-vote you and hide in anonymity.

If you use the dislike button, then have the courtesy to explain what you don't like about it. The few people that get the dislike button on their page only get to dislike a maximum of 5 images each day. The question to the dislikers is: is the shot you use it for really that bad, or are you just trying to vote someone down for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of the shot? Exactly, and that's the problem with the dislike button in it's current form.

Great portrait! And I do not understand what for this button has been created in the first place. And I do not understand, why it is placed immediately beneath the LIKE button. I often vote from the iPad, and I have to be very careful for my finger not to touch the disliker instead. And my personal opinion: although a pain in the a..., the fact that someone presses the dislike button is an indirect compliment. Nobody would intentionally press the dislike button for a mediocre picture. Only for a very good one ...

They did not remove the dislike button, just vent from 99.5 to 99.1 in one dislike. Then the dislike button disappered from my site.

Maybe you and the rest of us have to be a little less concerned about "the struggle" to reach page 1. That said, I also found that Dislike without comments are idiotic. I've never used this feature and have no plans for it .. Send e-mail to admin and ask them to tell us all about why this feature can not be removed once and for all .. Another thing that I think is a little strange is that some users get a photo on page 1 will remain there for 10 + + hours. Can almost seem like they've got some kind of immunity from being voted out from page 1 All my pictures are boycotted (disliked) as soon as they are a threat to the others on page 1 I removed all my pictures as a kind of start to the end when it comes to my membership. I'll probably post them again.

As I promised I didn't upload anything on Friday ;)

How would I have known otherwise about the protest?
Is there a forum page that I am missing or am I not just running with the 'in crowd' on 500px?
When I got my first dislike I was horrified and wished the person erectile or sexual dysfunction - hit em where it hurts I thought!!
Let me know how I can find out about these things - on my wall would be great.
