Who can resist a shoot at Zabriskie Point when in Death Valley? This was taken from the ridge line that extends off to the north of the viewing platform of Zabriskie, which offers a little more unique view of the area. Seeing this getting bathed in morning light is nothing short of spectacular. The subtle tones and colors that come from the images here are just awesome, and so fun to process. This image fascinates me. It's a great place to head to when you have no skies to photograph.
I was lucky enough to take part in a photography work shop of the eastern sierra with Marc Adamus last week. Had a fantastic time, but unfortunately, my 70-200 lens bit the dust a couple days before this shoot, quite literally(It failed on me at Eureka Dunes... get it? Dust? ok). Marc was nice enough to lend me a back up Canon he had with a 70-200 on it. The camera had obviously served a very full life! Maybe some Adamus magic was transferred to me while using the camera? Hopefully...
