The Hermitage is a fantastic location, full of history. It was home to the tallest tree in Britain for some time. I have paid many visits here in all seasons, but it is autumn when the Craigvinean Forest comes alive with colours. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, the light became more intense and the long shadows grew along the carpet of leaves on the ground. I came across a couple taking in the view on a bench looking up the River Braan, which really completed the composition of the image for me.
