I hadn't seen any Cedar Waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum) hanging around my area for a couple weeks, so I'd thought they'd already started working their way north. It made my day to find some yesterday morning munching away at berries. Yes, I can be happy for an entire day because I saw a bird. My wife is slightly concerned at my premature aging since she thinks bird watching is for old people.

We chased a flock of Bohemian Waxwings around a frozen park in Ottawa last month, but no photo opps.
btw . . . I didn't start with the birds until I was on the wrong side of 65, so your wife might be onto something.
