Hi John, I like the squarer crop, the detail in this shot is truly amazing, I've been seriously thinking of switching to a 5D Mark III and shots like this just make me want one even more. Stunning work I shall be visiting your gallery now to see your other work!!

Thanks Andy. The 5D III is a nice camera, and very good for low light work given the realatively low noise at high ISO. However, it really demands very good lenses (it shows up the flaws in cheaper lenses more obviously than some other cameras).

Exemplary work, clear and sharp, nice pose, lovely background tones, great perch - top class work. I really like the 8x5, frames things well, and I tend to crop a lot of things that way. I am middle aged, but fairly new to photography and don't like 6x4 so much either, I think it's just a less pleasing proportion for a lot of photos.
