Girona posee el encanto de las grandes ciudades, solo que sin muchas aglomeraciones ni multitudes; una ciudad para distraerse en todas sus vertientes: fiestas, oferta cultural, calles, tiendas, restaurantes, acontecimientos, servicios turísticos, festivales... Cualquier momento del año es bueno para acercarse a disfrutarla, porque es una ciudad muy viva y con bonitas sorpresas para ofrecer...
Situada en el Valle del Ter, Girona se ve dividida por el río Onyar, que separa el área antigua de la parte moderna de la ciudad.
Su casco histórico conserva huellas de su larga historia desde su fundación por los romanos en el siglo I a.c., compuesta por templos medievales, pueblos pesqueros, ruinas romanas, y extensas playas y calas de agua cristalina, la unión de mar y montaña componen un paisaje inolvidable.
Girona cuenta con diversos monumentos arquitectónicos como lo es La Força Vella, donde se alza la Catedral de origen románico; el Monasterio Sant Pere de Galligants y la Iglesia de Sant Nicolau.
