This is South Tufa in Mono Lake, which is directly east from Yosemite National Park. I had wished for a windless sunset with interesting clouds so that I could get the tufas and clouds reflected on the water surface. But that wasn't meant to be.
Instead, it was very a very windy and clear blue skies. So I had to change my original ideas and roll with the punches.
This was shot about 5 minutes after sunset, the sun had fallen behind the mountains to the west and there was barely any light left.
Many steps and techniques used to process this image in Photoshop. I created a photoshop hdr tutorial and it's available in my website. Go have a look!
