A storm passes over the Mesquite Dunes in Death Valley Park during sunset. Love the range of the pink hued mountains. Hiking around sand dunes SUCKS. I spent approximately 2.5 hours wandering the dunes for a shot to take at sunset. AT first I wanted to do something with the small playa patches that exist in the troughs, but really couldn't find anything I was into. It was getting close to go time when I came upon this, luckily. I'm glad I didn't walk to close, my footprints are literally right to the left of frame. I Sat here for a good hour shooting, and watching the weather move through this awesome area. My first visit to this place. Can't wait to go back!
