if you continue north from the Arizona Grand Canyon, you gradually hit the smaller, though no less interesting badlands in Drumheller, Alberta. Drumheller is also known as the Dinosaur Provincial Park, as it is home to the largest Dinosaur fossil collection in the world. There are several 'ghost towns' & abandoned coal mines in this area as well where Hollywood film crews often come to shoot movies. And for good reason; this place is so cinematic. These hoodoo's, for example, stand up to several meters tall and are 'sculpted' just from wind and rain.
