VILLARLUENGO is a village of 188 inhabitants located at the heart of the mountainous Maestrazgo comarca, province of Teruel, Aragon, Spain. It is located on top of a spectacular rocky outcrop at the edge of a deep canyon, at the confluence of the Palomita and Cañada rivers. The town is surrounded by mountains.
At its origins, the Order of Knights Templar consolidate definitively these territories, dominating them during almost a century until their dissolution in 1312. Legends suggest that there is a treasure of the Knights Templar buried somewhere in this village.
