I got bored of watching the fog up on Mt. Rainier last summer, so I left the posse of Photogs we were hanging with to their flowers and wandered the hills looking for new vantage points of the Mountain.

Came across this little opening in the snow and stuck my head in to find a small cave. The melting ice was making for some cool drips, so I plopped down onto all fours and crawled inside. About 20 feet in I kept bumping the ceiling with my backpack, which struck me as a biblically bad idea because if this thing collapsed, I was pretty much finished. I stuck around in there for as long as my nerves held out, and then crawled out to discover that the mountain had showed itself during the time I was in the cave. It was pretty much the only 15 minutes it was visible the entire time I was there. Typical.

Had a HECK of a time fixing the distortion of the drips to make them vertical.

Off on another adventure tomorrow with some of the coolest peeps on earth. You know who you are Squints!!!
