The aurora over enormous peaks in Canada's Yukon territory. Camped out right here for four days recently, waiting and hoping for this shot. Luckily those icicles didn't go anywhere in the frigid temps. I used a 13-image blend for DOF to capture the scene exactly how it looked to me standing there. The image was shot at 30mm under the light of the half moon which was illuminating the background peaks but hidden behind a large face to my right, allowing a better exposure for my foreground areas.
My self-portrait you see on this site was taken just to the right of the peak on the back/right of the image here.
