So my girlfriend and I were off looking for a place to do a little hiking. We saw a sign out in eastern CT for the Devils Hopyard and decided to see what it was all about. Beautiful park with a waterfall, miles of trails and scenic vistas (which the snow prevented us from reaching). I was snapping away, but wasnt pleased with the harsh light until we made our way back to this bridge. We had crossed it when we began our day, but heading back i noticed how the tree and bench were framed beautifully inside the opening of the bridge and the converging lines led the eye to the background. I also noticed how the light was falling inside and I decided to take a few minutes and try and get a shot. Yet another place I plan on doing much more exploring. An interesting note on this shot. It looks crooked. I corrected it a few times, yet each time I did something else looked out of level. This bridge is so old that nothing in it is plumb or level, so I straightened using the ground in the foreground and let everything else just lay were it was. I think it makes it look interesting but your welcome to disagree.
