I have fallen in love with Lofoten islands since my first visit to Norway in 2007. This place is so full of charms that you can easily get caught. Mountains, sea, rorbuer (traditional Norwegian fishing cabins), white sand beaches, smells and ambiances. Everything here is so close to perfection that I could almost call it heaven. But this was before this day. I am on the white sand beach of Flakstad. Tide is getting high sky begins to clear. The whole day has been pretty grey, however I feel that something interesting might happen for sunset. I am quickly interested by the movement of the waves covering this lonely rock. I take a few shots. They look okay but something is missing. I move somewhere else and work on different other subjects. The sky becomes more and more red. The flames of hell are unleashed on this Norwegian heaven. I quickly run to my previous rock, take position and photograph once again. This time the shot is even better than expected. I finally got it!
