Alaska saw an amazing aurora show on March 15-16th. I had chased the lights two nights before and got pretty good shows but this was something else. Once the real aurora storm started around 10pm, it was a night to remember for a lifetime. This was my girlfriend's first time to see a good show, and she was kind of walking around in my scene so I added her in it. The aurora was strong enough to paint the water green, and the moon behind me added light to the mountains and snow. Turned out to be kind of an x-filesy, otherworldly piece.
If you're seeing too much noise in the shadows, you're probably viewing it brighter than intended.
