I reprocessed this image. It's always been a personal favorite. This was one of the first images that inspired me to develop my tonality control techniques. Slot canyons have some of the most spectacular light, but the exposures are often very challenging.
I found this shot while meditating in the canyon waiting for light to show up in another spot. I would have completely missed it if I had not stopped and sat in the stillness. All of the sudden, it dawned on me how amazing this perspective was from the ground where I was sitting. Very cool experience, it definitely had a big impression on me.
