These Falls are in the North Yorkshire national park 'The Yorkshire Dales'.
Aysgarth is best known for its breathtaking triple flight of waterfalls, carved out by the River Ure on its descent to mid-Wensleydale.
They are very popular and spectacular, can also be very dangerous when it's been raining a lot and the water comes gushing down the surrounding mountains and hills.
They have been photographed to death, so I wanted something different...
I was extremely attracted and fascinated by the colours, the indigo and amber, the chaud/froid and also the force of the water.
GREAT On proper Black
People ask me about settings, my favourite lens used to be a Nikkor 28-200 on my Nikon F4, I shot film until 2 years ago, usually Superia extra 400.
The settings here must have been f 5.6/ 250, to 'freeze' the action.
I do this by 'feel' by now more than anything else, the years of experience do matter, lol.
Now I am on my fourth digital camera a Nikon D7000 with my now favourite lens ( to go out and be FREE...) is the AF-S NIKKOR 18-200 DX VR2, for those interested (A FAQ).
Thanx for your comments, M, (*_*)
